My Daughter
(Name)
Welcome sweetheart, to womanhood Many a tear you will cry Before your life is through There will be bills, you can't pay Many a wolf at your door That won't go away
Some friends, you will find out Are really a foe Guest in your home That will not go
Life is not always good Sometimes it's very bad But don't let circumstances Turn your mind mad
Stand strong against life's mighty wind Search inside yourself To find your best friend Always let a smile shine Upon your pretty face
And know that you are often Your mother's saving grace
I will always be there, Mom

How God Made Little Girls
(Name)
A speck of frills With a pinch of pink A touch of lace And a dainty wink
He mixed these in With a love for dance And heaps of laughter Some beauty perchance
He added oodles more Of joy and grace Then he put some dimples In just the right place
As a final touch He included a curl And with that he smiled For he had created a girl Purchase Poem: 208 - Daughter Now
Only for Love
(Their Name)
We are your parents, and we love you so much. Because we care so deeply for you, we will risk your love for us in order to do the right thing for you.
Please understand, we are not trying to limit your freedom with the rules we ask you to follow.
We are giving you guidelines for the important decisions every person must make… from choosing the right friends, to a reasonable hour to come home.
You may think we are too strict or demanding, but we want you to develop the inner strength and character that will carry you through, and enable you to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
We will certainly make mistakes as parents, just as we did when we were teenagers.
We pray that we…and you…can learn from our mistakes and grow through them.
We hope that we will not forget what it’s like to be a teen, and hope that you will forgive us when we do.
Someday you will understand what a special joy it is for us to watch you grow, change and become the person we know you will be.

Our Precious Daughter
(Name)
A special little girl God gave us one day You were placed into our arms For us to lead your way
The love we had for you Right from the start Has grown so much and now It completely fills our hearts
Our lives have had some laughter We have had our share of tears But God has given each their place With the passing of the years
You stand before us now And it is hard to understand How God has turned our little girl Into a lovely woman
We have failed in many ways To be the parents we should be But we can say we love you As these passing moments flee
But this one thing remember As you open each door That as much as we do love you, God still loves you more

A Daughter
To My /Our Daughter, (Name)
A daughter is a wonderful blessing A treasure from above She is laughter, warmth, and special charm She is thoughtfulness, and love
A daughter brings a special joy That comes deep inside As she grows into adulthood She fills our heart with pride
With every year that passes She is more special than before Through every stage, through ever age You love her even more
No words can describe the warm memories The pride and gratitude too That comes from having a daughter To love, and to cherish, “just like you”

Precious Daughter

A special parent I would like to be For this little girl that follows me As she looks on with loving eyes She trust that I will be strong and wise
All to soon she will be full grown This precious girl I call my own But until that time she’s mine to hold As I watch each stage unfold
I will do my best in the years to be A special parent For this little girl that follows me

Middle Child
(Name)
Not the oldest, not the youngest, but somewhere in between. A middle child can sometimes be lost amid life's daily routine.
You never got to be the first at any new stage, nor the last to treasure a final special age.
"Time for bed, you little ones" always included you, but "older children, clean the dishes" meant middle children too!
I want to say I'm proud of you, you've made my life a treat. For without the middle child, a family would not be complete.
You are the precious balance between growing up and youth. You teach us about compromise and seeking the truth.
At times it is hard to let you go, to cut the apron strings. For the future is uncertain, but whatever tomorrow brings you will face each new challenge.
But, I want you to know your place in my heart is steady and true and will never cease to grow.

My Youngest Child (Name)
I thought I had things figured out by the time you came along. But being a parent one more time proved to me that I was wrong.
I thought I had seen it all there was nothing more to know. How could I imagine the joy I'd find watching another life grow?
Not my first child, I naively thought there would be nothing new. But you made each stage exciting again and all uniquely "you."
"The older kids have more fun!" You'd cry, so anxious to be grown, but soon you would be playing again in a make-believe world of your own.
Each milestone you awaited with anticipation very great oh, to drive a car, stay out past ten and finally graduate!
But the days you thought just dawdled have been quick to disappear and regardless of your age, there is one more thing to make clear.
Though you will always be my baby who brought me joy, laughter and fun you're an even greater treasure now, and I'm proud of all you've become.

My Only Child
(Name)
On the day you were born, my life was changed completely. How could one tiny child transform my world oh, so sweetly?
You brought back my childhood, brought out the child in me And gave me fresh perspective on life's priorities.
The world became brand new again as I saw it through your eye and I learned to value each new day as a gift full of surprise.
I know the life of an only child is not always filled with ease. You've had no one to borrow from, share secrets with, or tease;
And yet, no matter what life brings, you take it all in stride. The strength of character you show fills my heart with pride.
I never knew just how much love a child would stir in me, but in his grace the father saw and recognized my need.
For I was given just a taste of perfect love, it's true, when God in all his mercy, chose to bless my life with you.

The Little Artist (Name)
It takes a certain wisdom To help a child to grow There are times we want To intervene and let Adult "know how" show For a child the world's A delightful test At times they struggle At times make a mess If we love them, guide them And let them be We nurture individuality Life is like and empty canvas So vast and so grand We must supply Our children the paintbrush But we should not move their hand Purchase Poem: 563 - Daughter Now
Heaven’s Strength God walks with you, He'll do his part to lift up and mend shattered hearts Water His shoulder with your tears whisper to Him all doubts and fears Find comfort these times soon shall pass Life is but a tempestuous, fragile glass Yet, with a wave of God's mighty hand He can scatter troubles upon the sand Leave the window of life opened wide Bidding your Shepherd to come inside During trials and troubles invite God in Bringing peace and comfort once again
God is our refuge and strength A very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1

If someone forces you to go one mile Go with him two miles; Matthew 5:41 For God so loved the world that He Gave His only begotten Son, that Whosoever believes in Him should not Perish but have everlasting life John 3:16
Christmas was when God gave us The ultimate gift The gift of love and salvation Our whole lives through Although we don't have a lot of money To give expensive gifts to you We can share our love for Jesus And our prayers that you find the Strength and courage To overcome the trials and troubles That life may bring to you Love, Mom / Dad or Both

For everything there is a season And I know the you are grown But in my heart is a treasure chest More precious than mere gold
It’s a lifetime of memories And wonders to behold A picture book of dreams and secrets We’ve shared since you were one day old
The magic you created It is there within your smile Enchantment, always embrace it Keep it with you every mile
Look forward to tomorrow Yet, never forget yesterday Where I became not just your Mother/Father But a friend along the way
In my heart you are still that little girl I bounced upon my knee My world became a better place When God gave you to me
